GANG SIGN (demo)
Your name is Angel, and your goal is to please people.
GANG SIGN is a simple game made in GBStudio by Chris Maltby, that details a story of a woman that uses her charm and influence to get to her goals. Witness in this game how she uses what's at her disposal in order to kill a small druglord and take all of his money.
The game started development in Summer 2019, as a text-based adventure project with multiple endings, originally called "Gang Time". I was inexperienced with the software I was working with, so my constant run ins with problems and over ambition made me shelve the project until December 2019, when I decided to restart the project once more. I tweaked the characters based upon a short lived comic I did for the series (previously uploaded on SmackJeeves), and worked on developing the assets in December, and developing the game itself in January. With the support of friends, I had the motivation to keep going and complete this for them to play, which is what you see before you.
I did not intend for this game to ever be a big spectacle or a must play hidden gem, I just meant for it to be a game that I know I would enjoy playing.
With that, I hope you enjoy the project before you, and I hope to improve it with quality-of-life updates based upon fan output. Thank you!

Update [July 2022]
The game has now been relabeled as a demo. One of these days, I will remake it into a more complete and worthwhile story to play through, but not at the moment.
